Portfolios/Assessments

At Tina’s ABC Childcare, we understand the importance of Kindergarten readiness.

One of our goals is to partner with parents in our effort to provide the early education needed to ensure each child has the basic fundamentals for success in Kindergarten.

Our methods of assessment include observation, documentation, and work samples. The overall findings are recorded on an assessment record. This record, along with the work samples and observation recordings, are organized into a working portfolio that is shared at each parent-teacher conference. This is portfolio stays with the child as they continue their educational journey with Tina’s ABC Childcare.

What Do Our Clients Have to Say?

"Bittersweet! Ms. Tina has watched my little since 10 weeks old. He is such a smart babe and a very needy babe. From the start she would tell me she would talk to him non stop through the day and always encouraged us that he was fine and he was. She was always there for him and us when needed and flexible with us and shift changes. He always came home safe in her care. We never had any bad experiences, just great ones. Wish that we could keep her forever, we are going to miss her! She was the best for our little man!"

–Jessica Lea Samuels

"My 2 year old has grown so much, so fast. She's bloomed right in front of me. Always coming home saying something about "her babies." And surprising me with an ever expanding vocabulary and social skills."

–Monet Everly

"Tina is great with my baby! He practically jumps at her when he sees her! Such a great feeling knowing that my baby is taken care of when I can't be there."
